Downeast Lakes Landtrust
Website Redesign
Fall 2010 | Pica Design, LLC.
-
Website by Pica Design. In-house website development by myself. The primary goal of the website redesign was to equally highlight both aspects of DLLT; land conservation and sustainably. -
A dichotomy design was employed to highlight both the conservation and sustainability aspects of DLLT. This allowed visitors browsing the website to easily learn about how the land was conserved while also informing them of the many visitor activities in the area. -
Land conservation is the core of DLLT's mission. One of the website goals with this section was to educate the public, while also speaking to other conservancies. -
The Grand Lake Stream area of Maine (which DLLT conserves) is home to some of the finest Salmon fishing in the country - and attracts numerous fishing enthusiasts each year. -
An integrated donation aspect collects donations for funding the non-profit organization. All managed within the CMS by the DLLT staff. -
The old DLLT website gave years of great use. It provided a foundation we used to construct the new sitemap and the basis for the site content.
